The Shadow Trainer is an advanced badminton training aid for footwork, speed, reflexes and fitness, and can be used for all levels of singles training. It can also be used to improve the rotation of doubles teams at the novice to intermediate levels.

The Shadow Trainer uses lights on a court outline to direct players to move on the real court to the corresponding points, swinging as if hitting a shuttlecock, and then returning to the centre of the court for the next light signal. Three levels of randomization and 160 possible settings make this a challenging and potent training aid.
